I had the pleasure of virtually transforming this space for my client, using her unique ideas, wants, and needs as the foundation for the redesign. The client brief was clear: create a warm, inviting, and functional home that catered to the demands of family living while maintaining a modern aesthetic. This vision guided every design choice, ensuring the space would be both practical and enjoyable for everyday life.

One of the key updates was extending the wall in the lounge, which allowed me to optimise a previously underutilised area. By doing so, I was able to incorporate extra storage, position a fridge, and create a cosy coffee bar nook—transforming a simple wall into a functional and attractive focal point of the room.

The kitchen redesign features earthy tones, sleek cabinetry, and ample storage solutions to blend modern functionality with a timeless design. I focused on enhancing the space with a neutral color palette that promotes relaxation and warmth. To further elevate the overall ambiance, the ceiling was painted white, and the beams were lightened, allowing natural light from the large windows to flood the room. This combination created an airy and welcoming atmosphere perfect for family gatherings and day-to-day living.

For this project, I had access to an old floor plan, which helped guide the design process. However, certain details, such as the pitch of the roof, were estimated based on available information. The client sent measurements for wall lengths and other specific dimensions, which I incorporated into the design to ensure accuracy and functionality.

This makeover successfully balances practicality and comfort, aligning with the client’s vision for a home that is both beautiful and highly livable.

The result is a space that meets their needs, reflects their style, and stands as a testament to the potential of thoughtful, well-executed design.
